I know... I know I'm beating a dead horse and you were expecting me to have some really detailed post here, but we've all read those posts before and I'll just leave a couple lines here to make it 'obvious' what my point is in concern of this topic:
1) Think of the new people. Often do we hear the amazing stories about how EVE was a harsh world at the start, where cruisers were rare and battleships nonexistent. Where 50 million ISK was a billion, and where a billion ISK was a trillion.
1-a) Why are the EVE veterans against this idea? The slightly newer players to EVE (let's just say... dating back to 2007) support this idea but why do the earlier players from 2003 do not? What is so wrong with this idea?
1-b) I realize that CCP's idea was to have only one server running at any time, but this is a different idea. CCP was probably thinking that if we had two servers, they'd be at the same 'timeline' as if a server's playerbase progression was a timeline.
1-c) What we supporters really want is a server that optionally can have the current expansion but the timeline for this new server would be dating back to 2003 of the original server. Meaning... a million ISK really means a lot. Frigates ruled. Cruisers were yachts. Battleships were a group effort.
To sum up some key questions:
1) Why are die-hard EVE veterans so against this idea? What is so wrong about it?
2) Why does CCP not endorse this idea?
3) Would YOU play on the new server? Why? Why not?

Let me elaborate: This topic is beaten to death so hard that any more threads might actually open a rift to Hell. If you want another server go play with the Chinese.
Still not convincing.
